mohabbat palkon pe kitnay haseen khwab sajaati hai; phoolon sey mehektay khwab, sitaron sey jagmagatey khwab, shabnam sey barastey khwab.

phir kabhi yun bhi hota hai ke palkon ki daaliyon sey khwabon ke saarey parinday urr jatey hein..
aur ankhein heiran si
reh jati hein.

saarey sapney kaheen kho gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey
saarey sapney kaheen kho gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey

dil sey tanhai ka dard jeeta
kia kahein ham pe kia kia na beeta
dil sey tanhai ka dard jeeta
kia kahein ham pe kia kia na beeta

tum na aaey magar jo gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey
saarey sapney kaheen kho gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey

tumne ham sey kaheen theen jo baatein
unko duhrati hein gham ki raatein
tumne ham sey kaheen theen jo baatein
unko duhrati hein gham ki raatein

tumsey milney ke din tou gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey
saarey sapney kaheen kho gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey

koi shikwa na koi gila hai
tumsey kab hamko ye gham mila hai
koi shikwa na koi gila hai
tumsey kab hamko ye gham mila hai

han naseeb apney hi so gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey
saarey sapney kaheen kho gaey
haey ham kia sey kia ho gaey

Fulfilling all my tagged duties today, heh. Jo tagged me for this a long, long time ago.

If I were a piece of furniture, I would be ... something purple! :D

If I were a liquid, I would be ... water. fluid and pure.

If I were a tool, I would be ... ripping off Jo on this one. A Swiss Army Knife. A hot pink one. heh. or red, maybe.

If I were a kind of weather, I would be ... winter. the kind that makes you wear warm comfortable winter clothes and snuggle up under blankets.

If I were a mythical creature, I would be ... chimera.

If I were a musical instrument, I would be ... a flute. or a harp.

If I were a color, I would be ... red.

If I were a kitchen device, I would be ... a wooden spoon. or a teflon frying pan.

random tagness.

It's really strange. In the past few days quite a few people whose existence I was not even aware of have told me that they read my blog regularly. Then there is that series of anonymous haters who never cease to amuse me with their hate comments. So many people have told me to turn off anonymous comments but it's so much fun to read those hate comments.. it amuses me and, paradoxically, it makes me feel special. A few people out there are bothered enough and threatened enough by my existence to make the effort to not only frequent my blog but also leave hate comments. Not only that, they have enough time to make fake profiles on Orkut and go around scrapping my friends saying whatnotwhatnot.

Kheir, I checked my blog counter statistics the other day and 30 to 40 people average my blog everyday. That's too much exposure. More public than I could ever feel comfortable with. Filhaal tou I've tried curbing the problem by getting Kitty to make my blog un-googlable but who knows.. I might end up deleting my blog in a couple of months if it continues. Or stop blogging as much as I do. I deleted the kirna ki relocation wali post, I also removed my blog from the metblog thing. People had started to freak me out by reading my blog and tracking me down on Orkut and then stalking me there. So, like, wtf. Anyway, so one of my newly discovered regular readers has tagged me, so I shall continue with that :)

Current Frame of Mind:

I am: heh, a drama queen
I will: one day do modelling
I am thinking: people will laugh at what I've written above
I feel: sadly happy. the overwhelingness still overshadows.
I believe: in happiness
I hear: my fan. my fingers clackety clacking on my laptop keyboard.
I wonder: when will my stupid cough go away
I cry: often. when provoked. when hurt. when lonely. but always alone.
I am not: content
I finish: one section of this tagging thing :)

Party Mode:

I dance: when no one's watching
I listen: Sandstorm, Satisfaction, cheap Indian dance-y tracks.
I read: The back covers of albums :)
I regret: Not being able to dance as good as I would like to
I feel: uncomfortable
I miss: those days
I confuse: a lot of people, a lot of times.

Philosophical Mode:
I dance: no. I stand. prtendtoberunning
I listen: to my heart
I read: junk literature
I regret: more things than I should
I feel: sadly happy. like i've lost something. and found something else.
I miss: all the wrong things.
I confuse: life. and it confuses me.

Blogger Mode:

I dance: not.
I listen: random shuffle.
I read: jo, sheen, meow, huma and saba.
I regret: my blog being too public
I feel: I'm too attached to it to delete
I miss: my TOD.
I confuse: ho humm.

From hand to hand you bought and sold
Blood is the shield against the weather
Became a stone for fear of being melted
Trouble from the day we came together

When you recover, from yesterdays low
True slave to traction of pleasure
I collect the embers as I watch you grow
You left along the way we came together

As you breathe as you breathe in to life
You will lead, you will lead
As you stray as you star far from home
I will believe I will believe

Flames of love immerse you
Cradle and coerce you
Shadows overrun the place you play
Names of love remind along the way
Seems shallowed by the way we came together

My heart carries on, mmm
But my head knows better
Troubled by the way we came together

As you breathe, as you breathe in to life
You will lead, you will lead
As you stray as you stray far from home
I will believe, I will believe

Cause you are here today, and gone tomorrow
Basking in the fields of never never

You wanted today, mmm but I wanted forever
Troubled by the way we came together
My heart carries on, mmm
But my head knows better
Troubled by the way we came together

As you breathe as you breathe in to life
You will lead, you will lead
As you stray, as you stray far from home
I will believe, I will believe
Cause you are here today
And gone tomorrow

The kind of stuff that only happens to other people.

Her: What is it about me that you love?
Him: I dunno, it's hard to express.. it's just you

She smiles

Her: For today, that will suffice :)

I randomly stumbled upon a website that listed down all songs of an era along with what their possible intended meanings could have been. 70s, 80s, 90s.. As the decades went by.. the songs lessened. Decreased. Bit by bit by bit. Until, in 90s, the best they could come up with was Backstreet Boys. Back in the 70s, there used to be such interesting thought provoking songs.. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Hotel California, Stairway to Heaven, American Pie.. Songs that could be interpreted a thousand diffferent ways, songs that would leave you in a feel of awe - mystified. Songs that would fill you with wonder and leave you thinking.

American Pie, for instance. Drove my Chevy to the levee.. The old 50s Chevrolet advertisement, “Drive your Chevrolet/through the USA…On a highway or a road along a levee..” And "That'll be the day that I die" was one of Buddy Holly's most famous songs. The next line "Did you write the book of Love, and do you faith in God above/ if the bible tells you so" "The Book of Love" was a 1958 hit song by The Monotones. "If the Bible tells you So" was a song by Don Cornell, 1955. And all those connections to the plane crash in which Buddy Holly died.

And then, ofcourse, the mainstream Hotel California. The vast interpretations from the hedonism, to the mental asylum, to the possible devil worshipping and cocaine addiction.

Let's not even get started on Stairway to Heaven. And how Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was talking about LSD (notice th caps). There was always something to think about, something to wonder about. What can you possibly wonder about in, I'm a genie in a bottle baby, come on and let me out. Or.. Hit me baby one more time. Or even, say, how about Digital, digital getdown.

When did music stop being food for soul?

I always thought of myself as the kind pf person who changes other people. Whoever comes in contact with me, comes closer to me, ends up being changed in one way or another. I'm a very ruboffonyou kind of person. You will adopt one idiosyncrasy or another. Quirks. Everyone I know closely has adopted something of mine from my facial expressions, to random things I say often, to my laugh, to my patent jokes..

But I never thought of myself as the kind of person who can ever be changed by someone. I never thought spending a lot of time with someone could change me. But it has, and it's an ongoing process. Nausheen. She encourages me to think. I'd forgotten a very long time ago how to think, how to dissect things, put them apart and study them closely. I'd learn the refined art of blocking things out and living in the happy bubble to an extent that even when I wanted to think, I couldn't. What tangled webs we weave. I'm still like that.. but lately, I fond myself analyzing things deeper than is Kiran. Good change, actually. Hmm.
